G Venkata Prasad, Director – OperationsG Venkata Prasad is the director of operations for DFI of India. He is responsible for implementing new technology initiatives and skill training programs, and organizing conferences and workshops.
He is a civil engineering graduate and has more than three decades of experience in construction in India and has worked in senior management positions at Larsen & Toubro (L&T) handling multiple and challenging assignments. As the chief operating officer at L&T, he played a key role in development of a 90 acre residential project in Chennai city and also managed operations of two IT Special Economic Zone (SEZ) projects at Chennai and Kochi.
Prasad previously was an Executive Committee member of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI), Chennai Chapter, and has authored several articles related to the real estate industry and on policy related to the housing industry.
Mohamed Athif M., Executive Assistant to Director of OperationsMohamed Athif M. is the executive assistant to the director of operations at DFI of India. In this role he works closely with and assists the director in preparing proposals and presentations, drafting agreements, and coordinating initiatives and activities of the regional chapter.
He is a civil engineering graduate and earned a post-graduate degree in advanced construction management from National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR), a prestigious institute in India. He has also completed PMP – 35 hours PDU (PMBOK 5th Edition), 2017.
Athif has four years of experience in construction and real estate industries and previously worked at L&T and other organizations.
Chandra Sekhar J., Senior Geotechnical EngineerChandra Sekhar J. is the senior geotechnical engineer at DFI of India. He is responsible for preparing technical documents and design manuals of all the new technology initiatives and cooperating with the director of operations.
He earned his master's degree from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela in geotechnical engineering.
Prior to earning his master's degree, he worked as a research associate for 21 months for two research projects at Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad. He was a part of successful completion of one of those two research projects titled "Chemical stabilization of haul roads inside open-cast mines" organized by Neyveli Lignite Corporation Ltd., Tamil Nadu. He also supported another research project on "Restraining earth structures for sustainable infrastructure" for a few months.
Sekhar previously worked as a site engineer at various companies including Avani Engineering Consultants and ECLAT Engineering Consultants.
T. S. Mahendran – Manager of Accounts & AdministrationT. S. Mahendran is manager of accounts and administration for DFI of India. In addition to managing accounting and office administration, he assists with organizing executive committee meetings and conferences and workshops, and handling public relations for the chapter.
He holds an MBA in finance. Before joining DFI of India, he worked for 10 years with different industry organizations covering sales, marketing, and finance functions.
