The Ground Improvement Committee addresses technologies for foundation improvement and liquefaction mitigation. The technologies include but are not limited to vibratory stone columns, vibrocompaction, vibro concrete columns, aggregate piers, dynamic compaction, wick drains and grouted inclusions.

3/30/2015 The DFI Ground Improvement Committee prepared a review of the selection, design, and specification of liquefaction mitigation methods. The Committee report is presented in the August 2013 DFI Journal (Volume 7, Issue 1).  
4/18/2014 The committee's wick drain guide specification is now available! It covers materials, installation and quality control and assurance for wick drain projects. It is available as an editable MS Word document to be tailored to specific project needs.
