Risk and Contracts
The focus of this committee is identifying risk and how to evaluate and manage risk for all entities involved in geotechnical projects. The committee cooperates with all other DFI technical committees and liaises with the Geo-Industry Risk Working Group.

Alexander Filotti
Citnalta Construction Corp.
Alexander Filotti is the Design Manager for Citnalta Construction Corp. in Bohemia, NY. He manages technical aspects of design-build procurement, integration, and coordinates BIM trades for the company. He teaches design of foundation and risk management classes at Hofstra University and is actively involved in the education efforts of industry organizations to promote contracts, ethics, and risk management knowledge. During his 19 years of employment with Underpinning & Foundation he gained a solid experience with risk management, engineering work and technical development related to deep foundation projects. He spearheaded and was the first president of the PDCA Contracts and Risk Committee and serves as a member on the Geo-Industry Risk Working Group. He has a MS in mechanical engineering from Politehnica University of Bucharest and an Executive MBA from Hofstra University. He is licensed in New York State as a Professional Engineer.
