State of Practice of Jet Grouting
Mitsuhiro Shibazaki

Jet grouting has found wide application with its radically different approach from other geotechnical groutings, employing erosion for easy grouting into void-created. Although keeping the principle of jet grouting can only lead to guaranteeing the quality of works, little attention has been paid for it due to ignorance. The author discusses these aspects theoretically and practically, for acquiring desired products in shape, size, and quality and also briefs the development of jet grouting which helps deep mixing methods retain the way to sufficiently interlock, produces large columnar bodies, obtains exact geometries, and has given birth to an epochal system for creating various polygonal columns in soil improvement.
