The technical program highlights the state-of-practice, current research, innovations, advancements and case histories of deep foundations, anchored earth retention, slurry walls, ground improvement and deep mixing.<\/p><p>\u201cThis is the 7th annual S3 conference,\u201d says Theresa Engler, DFI executive director. \u201cThe conference has grown over the years to be one of DFI\u2019s flagship events, bringing together hundreds of deep foundation professionals for collaboration, communication, education and networking.\u201d<\/p><p>A hallmark of the S3 conference is the annual software discussion, where a problem is presented to slope stability software providers who discuss, analyze and present solutions. The problem this year focuses on a large, deep excavation in Boston on a site with poor soil and an adjacent building.
