The focus of this committee is identifying risk and how to evaluate and manage risk for all entities involved in geotechnical projects. The committee cooperates with all other DFI technical committees and liaises with the Geo-Industry Risk Working Group.

Richard Kalson, J.D., a member of Cozen O’Connor, has 30 years of experience in construction law, advising contractors, suppliers and project owners across the U.S. and Canada. He has handled disputes on major infrastructure, petrochemical plants, medical centers and more. A University of Minnesota Law School graduate, Kalson earned his bachelor’s degree with honors from University of Wisconsin.
