Abstracts are being accepted until Monday, December 1, 2025, for original technical papers and panel sessions for DFI’s 51st Annual Conference on Deep Foundations (DFI51) being held November 2–5, 2026, in Orlando, Florida.
The theme of the conference is “Sea Level Impacts: Navigating Challenges Together,” focusing on the multifaceted challenges and profound global implications that rising sea levels pose.
Practitioners, researchers, industry leaders, policymakers and organizations from around the world are invited to contribute to the technical program for this international conference. The goal is to gather experts from different disciplines and organizations to forge relationships and increase the understanding of the challenges future sea levels pose for us all. Showcase your expertise, share innovative ideas and collaborate on actionable solutions for one of the most pressing challenges of our time.
All accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings and select papers, based on draft submissions, will be presented orally by the author during technical sessions. Proposals for panel sessions are welcomed and encouraged.
Abstracts are also being accepted until Monday, December 1, 2025, for the DFI Educational Trust Student and Young Professor Paper competitions.
Full-time, entry-level faculty members of an accredited college or university engaged in teaching and or research in engineering, construction or geological sciences are encouraged to submit an abstract for the Young Professor Paper Competition. Students studying in those same fields are encouraged to submit an abstract for the Student Paper Competition.
The winning authors are invited to attend DFI51 to present their papers. The individual contest winners receive complimentary conference registration, two nights of lodging and a $1,000 stipend for travel expenses. Winning papers will be considered for publication in the DFI Journal.
