DFI Announces Two New Technical Committee Chairs

Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) announces new chairs for two technical committees.

Mickey Westbrook is the new chair of the Augered Cast-in-Place and Drilled Displacement Pile Committee. Vice president of Specrete-IP Incorporated and a Kent State University graduate, Westbrook brings more than 13 years of experience in the deep foundations industry. He specializes in providing technical support for the use of additives in cementitious grout and concrete, helping optimize performance and application across diverse geotechnical projects. Westbrook takes the helm from Hannah Iezzoni, P.E., Keller.

John McKinnon is the new co-chair of the DFI-ADSC Joint Micropile Committee. McKinnon, the micropile division manager at Hub Foundation, holds a degree in mechanical engineering from University of New Hampshire. With over 15 years of experience, his passion is micropile testing. He has co-authored several articles and co-presented technical papers on micropiles at multiple industry conferences. McKinnon succeeds Helen Robinson, P.E., PMP, BC.GE, GEI Consultants, and joins committee co-chair Denis Ambio of OCI GMS.
